## How It Works

1. **Your app calls the Compass API** — deposit, withdraw, swap, rebalance, bridge, or any DeFi operation
2. **Compass generates the transaction** — including bundling, fee embedding, and gas sponsorship
3. **User signs with their wallet** — MetaMask, Privy, Dynamic, Fireblocks, or any wallet
4. **Transaction executes on-chain** — directly into DeFi protocols

Compass never holds funds or private keys. Users own and control all assets.

## Supported Protocols & Chains

**Protocols**: Aave V3, Morpho (vaults & markets), Pendle, ERC-4626 vaults, and more via [V1 API](/v1/api-reference/aave-v3/aave-supported-tokens)

**Chains**: Ethereum · Base · Arbitrum · Tempo¹

¹ **Tempo (chain ID 4217)** — Morpho earn vaults only (Gauntlet pathUSD Prime / Frontier, Sentora pathUSD). Tempo has no native gas token — wallets pay fees in TIP-20 stablecoins (USDC, USDT, pathUSD). In-chain swap (`V2_SWAP` action) is not supported on Tempo because no DEX aggregator currently routes Tempo. Bridging in/out of Tempo is out-of-band (CCTP and 1inch Fusion+ do not yet support Tempo).
